Each mountain resort hosts a wide variety of activities, such as hiking, mountain biking, lift rides and alpine slides. But, there are other activities such as concerts, golf, horseback riding, stream fishing, you get the idea. Park City Institute (formerly Park City Performing Arts Foundation) - official website Biking Park City is a mountain resort and a community as well. It is a natural setting for a mountain biking paradise! There are more than 160 miles of trails in Park City. The beautiful views of our Wasatch Mountains are incredible and should not be missed. Rent a bike at one of the resorts or at Cole Sport. Utah Olympic Park The Utah Olympic Park near Park City was the site of the 2002 Bobsled, Luge and Ski Jumping competitions. Visitors are treated to a guided tour of the park, athlete training sessions, 70 mile-per-hour bobsled rides, zipline rides, Quicksilver alpine slide rides, Olympic museum, an interactive museum, freestyle aerial and ski jumping shows on saturday at noon and a variety of camps for all ages. Now you can try the ski jumps and the bobsled / luge run for yourself. Lessons, tours and equipment rentals are available. The Utah Olympic Park in Park City Hiking The Park City area is home to many beautiful hiking trails for all levels of ability. Each of the three resorts offer lift serviced hiking in and around their individual trail systems. Whether you prefer hiking along scenic access roads, exploring our mining heritage on pristine trails, or getting a bird's eye view of your planned route down - from the chairlift, you're bound to discover just the right path. If you find yourself on the trail around dusk, you may even spot some mountain wildlife. Lift served access is available from PCMR's PayDay and Town Lifts. So whether you're looking for a quick scenic walk after dinner, a day trip with the family, or a longer more adventurous back-packing trip, Park City is the perfect location to start! Golf Park City Golf Courses The courses in and surrounding Park City offer a variety of challenges and opportunities, both public and private. You'll find beautifully maintained courses, all at over 6000 feet above sea level. Yes, your ball does indeed fly farther! That's why I dislike playing in New York, I have to club up to get the same distance. Park City's short golf season is far outweighed by the beauty and grandeur that awaits! Horseback Riding North Forty Escapes Get the true western experience riding the trail from the saddle of your horse! It has been said "the best thing for the inside of a man (or woman) is the outside of a horse." Historic Main Street in Park City Dining and Shopping Park Silly Sunday Market Park Silly Sunday Market on Park City's Historic Main Street - Sundays, 10am to 5pm, June thru the end of September. The Park Silly Sunday Market is an eco friendly, open air market and street festival. It is a treasure box that features unique and eclectic local and regional arts and crafts, music, performance art, antiques, imports and one-of-a-kind finds. Delicious gourmet foods, farmers market fruits and vegetables. It is as unique as the town of Park City is. Where: Deer Valley Outdoor Amphitheatre Cost: Tickets Required Utah Symphony | Utah Opera's Annual Deer Valley Music Festival (DVMF) returns with 17 performances in the picturesque setting of Park City, late June through August. Egyptian Theatre Company This intimate theatre setting offers everything from critically acclaimed dramas to musical farce at its best, as well as youth theatre programs. Alf Engen Ski Museum Foundation Featuring interactive exhibits depicting the history of skiing in the Wasatch, a virtual reality ski theater and a 2002 Olympic gallery. Located at the Utah Olympic Park. Park City Historical Society, Territorial Jail & Museum Local history museum and territorial jail. Located in Park City's old 1885 City Hall, the museum offers exhibits on mining and skiing history with an original restored stagecoach. Open Mon-Sat 10-7, Sunday noon-6pm. Free admission. Summit County Courthouse Museum Hours: M-F 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Located in historic 1904 Summit County Courthouse. Escape from the modern day and reminisce with Summit County's early ancestors. Heber Valley Historic Railroad (Heber) This authentic 100-year-old scenic railroad features a pair of 1907 steam locomotives and a variety of vintage passenger cars. Take the Tube 'n Train Adventure on a 100-year-old train to the tubing hill at Soldier Hollow, a 2002 Olympic Winter Games venue. Ride the scenic route down beautiful Provo Canyon.
